Still gonna make it up to the 70's later, but fall is really here. Time to start seeing what kinda shape those sweaters and sweatshirts are in. Maybe not time to put away those shorts just yet [img]wink.gif[/img] , but it is time to start thinking about long sleeve shirts and maybe a jacket. Brisk breezes, leaves changing color and falling off the trees, time to do many other thangs as well.
Like...
Keeping a little soup around the house (who doesnt like a little soup and sammi lunch in the fall?)
Time to maybe pick up a little hot chocolate or tea or whatever your warmer upper du jour may be.
Time to check the condition of those boots in your closet.
Time for the "colder weather pajamas"
Time for that throw blanket to make it's way back to the couch or sofa.
Maybe time for a little more evening snugglin under that blanket on that couch or sofa (body heat aint a bad thang [img]wink.gif[/img] )
Yeah, it'll be October first this saturday and the fall weather is really now upon us.

I don't know that I cold live in a place that had summer like weather year round. I would miss the seasons.

I know I'm ready for some cooler weather. If for no other reason than to help with my running. [img]smile.gif[/img]

When my husband & I were in Amish Country a few weeks ago, I picked up two Amish made quilts at a yard sale at an Amish farm (got both of them for $60.00) & it looks like I will get to use them REAL soon.
I like the usual two weeks of fall we get every year. I just wish it would last longer than those two weeks. I HATE winter! I dislike summer but I love spring & fall. [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Oh we have seasons still, it's just that "summer" dominates the year. By December it gets more than cold enough for me when the lows are in the 30s-40s and highs in the 60s and 70s. After so many months of highs in the 90s you would be amazed how cold 70* feels (to me at least) Actually here from mid October until the end of April feels like one long extended spring or fall. I wouldn't trade this climate for anything [img]cool.gif[/img]

And come mid February thru the middle of March when the orange trees are blossoming, you would think you died and went to heaven. That's how I feel about it at least...

I LOVE the fall. My favorite season. And that crisp air this morning was wonderful.

I've grown to dislike heat, so this summer was on the difficult side for me.

Each season has it's plusses and minuses.
Kinda depends on the kind of person you are as to which ones you like best.

Something very fall-ish indeed! Gotta love them there caramel apples. THose can be fun to make too.
How about a warm plate of cookies right out of the over, or a slice of hot apple pie [img]wink.gif[/img] Some warm cinnamon rolls on a cold morning, or some waffles or pancakes or een french toast with warm syrup and maybe some bacon or sausage.

Big ole pot of beef stew with some warm biscuits.

Anyone else getting hungry! LOL!

I always loved crisp fall days up there. Fall colors. But by the time I got around to accepting that summer was over, it would be going into winter. I wouldn't have minded even cold snowy winters thru December. It was January, February, March...those long, cold gray days. Makes me shudder just to think about it. I also hated the deadness of winter. No flowers, trees bare, grass dead. One thing I absolutely love about Florida winters is how everything stays green and flowers still grow. Feels like spring. Grass slows down and gets thin, but it's still there and still green for the most part.
